We are on the move.....literally!

So Zach started crawling on Saturday the 24th & this morning made it all the way across the floor. He made a bee line for the power cords of course. Good thing he & I will be moving on Saturday, I will have to start baby proofing the condo I am renting right off the bat.

The move has been planned since January, but we stayed at Phil's until now to give me time to find a place & to keep Zach in quarantine until RSV season is over. Zach did get his 6th & last Synagis shot last week, so RSV season is still not officially over, but is on the down slope. I have been packing away, I still had boxes that I hadn't opened in over a year since I moved them into Phil's garage. I got rid of even more stuff than the last two moves. That is the good thing about moving, it makes you get rid of clutter. I will get rid of more of it when I unpack again.

Pity party time, moving twice in a year just sucks. Blech!

Also, my little old lady cat Meisha has not been doing well. She either has GI lymphoma or IBD. I won't treat her with chemo & decided not to work her up further. She is on a cocktail of a steriod, anti-nausea & anti-inflammatory pills twice a day. She is doing a bit better with her litter box issues, but is still throwing up bile at night. My other cat has been having litter box issues since I got him & now with a baby on the move, it just is not possible to keep him. Ugh!

Anyway, I'll get some pics posted of the munchkin man when I get us settled in. My mom is coming into town to give me a hand with the baby during the move....thank goodness.

It has meant so much to me to have so much support from everyone. Who knew 10 1/2 months ago that Zach would be doing so well. Zach now has 2 bottom teeth. He rolls back to tummy like a pro & then pivots himself around on his tummy. He does a little rolling across the floor, but he has bonked his head a few times on the tiles & apparently didn't enjoy the experience :) He is sitting up much better than in March. He will be starting therapy this month. Zach was diagnosed with a 33% Cognitive delay. Who knows what that will actually mean. If he would have been born a year earlier (before the budget cuts in CA) he would have automatically gotten therapy based on his birth weight & gestational age at birth. If you could just see him, it is amazing how well he is doing. He is now trying so hard to crawl! I have a hard time getting him to sleep now as when I lay him down, he is immediately up on his hands & knees rocking back & forth. I continue to increase the foods that he is eating. He is now on meats & is trying different textures. He makes quite the faces. He is probably about 15 pounds now. We don't go to the doctor as often as we used to, we will have 6 weeks between visits this time. The doctor thought about 12 weeks, but I just wasn't ready for that yet. His growth curve flattened out a little bit, so I want to make sure he is getting the nutrition he needs. He has some days that he is just more interested in the world than in drinking his bottle. We slowly starting to come out of hibernation. I have had to take Zach on some errands this last week. He loved being out & seeing everything & all of the people. It will be great to finally be able to socialize with him a little more. Anyway, thank you everyone. I can't even begin to express to you how much all of your support has meant to me. In the early days & the whole time that Zach was in the hospital, it helped so much to come on here & read everyone's comments. It really helped me make it through those rough times. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Dawná
